Afterwards you may contact our office and we will schedule a telephone or in-office interview.

During the interview we will review the grounds for divorce, discuss property, children and support issues and review the steps necessary to complete your divorce.  At that point you may decide to have us complete the divorce for you (you will receive a $100 credit for your consultation towards the regular $650 fee) or you may try completing the process on your own by following the manual.

Not only does this service provide you with valuable information regarding divorce it also provides you with a set of forms for the do-it-yourselfer for whom all the issues in their divorce with their spouse have been agreed upon.  Based upon official New York State court forms the manual will take you step-by-step from filing the sumons to the final divorce decree.  This manual can provide you with valuable information that can help you better explain your case to your lawyer (if you choose our firm or another) and make sure you remained informed throughout the divorce process (not a substitute for legal advice).

Included are tips on settling the ancilliary matters connected with divorce, i.e. child custody, spousal support, child support, and marital property and the areas of concern that should be addressed by legal counsel and a way to help you in your search for a reasonably priced attorney for your divorce.

In the uncontested divorce flat fee package, however our firm will complete and file all the legal pleadings required to complete your case. Note that the uncontested divorce does not include obtaining judgment for any ancilliary issues equitable distribution, child support, spousal support, visitation, custody or court appearances should the court require an inquest or hearing in your case.
